Product description

Bracelet from series THE FLIGHT OF ICARUS, which also participated in the exhibition TRANSMISSION

At night, especially at the end of summer, when it is dark, you can notice insects flying towards burning lamps and other light sources. To this day, scientists still do not quite agree on the explanation of the phenomenon. What is certain is that these moths have such a great urge to fly into the light that it is often fatal to them. The motif of burning wings can also be found in ancient Greek mythology. Namely, Ikaros also perished, flying too close to the sun with wings made of wax and feathers by his father. The sun melted the wax and the wings fell apart. What is important about this story is the courage to live, shine and take risks by following your sincere curiosity and chasing your dreams.
