Last 13 years I have been dealing more seriously with jewellery.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I like to experiment with various technical possibilities, both traditional as well as author\u2019s techniques, including more complicated and time-consuming options such as enamel, window enamel, engraving, bone and wood carving, embossing.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I use any materials that come to my hand \u2013 piece of wood found in the forest or on the sea shore, chip of glass polished by sand, fossil, animal bone or horn. Together with my wife I have also made jewellery of felt.- In the book \u201cA-Gallery. Estonian art jewellery gallery for 20 years\u201d (2014)<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"fontstyle0\">\u201c<\/span>One beautiful summer day in 1996, we took a boat from Saaremaa island to the small island of Allirahu, which locals also call \u201cSeal Islet\u201d. After a couple of hours, we arrived at a rocky little island covered in thistles where there was nothing but a tiny lighthouse and a rusty old bus (!). While the adults had a picnic on the beach, our daughter, who was\u00a0 3 years old at the time, played with straws and pebbles. To our great surprise, she returned after a while, with her tiny palm full of amber.
