Since 1974 I have been a member of the Artists’ Association and since 1998 member of the group RUUM 312 A. In 1998 I received Kristjan Raud art award, in 2001 Ede Kurrel award.

My works can be found in the collections of the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design, applied art museums of Moscow and St Petersburg, Kreml Armoury in Moscow and Ribnitz-Damgarten Amber Museum, and in private collections in Germany, Poland, UK and Ireland.

In my creation I have been dealing with various fields, materials and techniques. I have designed production for Tallinn Jewellery Factory, made metal hollow forms, jewellery of various materials. I have used amber since 1977; on this theme I also wrote the research “Baltic amber and its use”. At the end of 1980s and in the beginning of 1990s I created jewellery made of window enamel on free-form wire mesh and exposed them at fashion shows. Since the end of 1990s I have completed conceptual jewellery projects. Bag-shaped braids of fine silver wire with jewels DEDICATED TO E. KURREL. Since 2000 jewellery installations on the background of the fragments of paintings by P. Delvaux. In recent years I have experimented with alchemic paintings on metal and exposed them in the annual exhibitions of the Artists’ Association.- In the book “A-Gallery. Estonian art jewellery gallery for 20 years” (2014)

“I have explored the possibilities to connect the structure of silver wire and transparent colour of enamels. My own technique has given me a lot of freedom of expression. By interweaving and fastening wires together they form something of a window, parts of which are covered by colourful enamels. This contrast of transparent enamels (in plique-a-jour technique) and translucent nets are how I express my view of the world around us.” – Urve Küttner at the A-Gallery exhibition MEMORY CARDS (2019)

["post-33719","artist","type-artist","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
