Sofja Melikova (1997), also known as Sofia Melik, is a dedicated jeweller and conservator specializing in the restoration of precious metals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since 2016, she has immersed herself in the field of jewellery while pursuing studies at esteemed institutions such as the Estonian Academy of Arts and the University of Edinburgh. Sofja’s hands-on experience in diverse workshops has enriched her skill set, ranging from crafting contemporary jewellery to traditional goldsmith techniques, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of jewellery craftsmanship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2021, Sofja embarked on a Master’s program in Cultural Heritage and Conservation, focusing on the preservation of precious metals. Her dedication to technical restoration aimed to enhance conservation practices.
In August 2023, she undertook a year-long traineeship at the NOVA School of Science and Technology in Lisbon, Portugal.
