Katariina Kriipsalu (b. 1997) is a young jewellery artist who graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in jewellery and blacksmithing department. In the course of her studies, she has also improved herself in Hungary, the Netherlands and Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I have always liked working with my hands. It seems to me that the material begins to live in my hands and direct itself. I enjoy the work process, sometimes I surprise myself by observing how the jewellery takes shape and what it becomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As for the materials, I have become close to silver and enamel, and I also enjoy stone grinding as a way to bring out the beauty hidden in the stone and give a chance to shine even to a piece of stone that seems ordinary at first glance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
