A-Gallery

A-Gallery is a professional jewelry gallery founded and managed by jewelry artists themselves, where you can see the work of over a hundred different local and local jewelry artists. The name A-Gallery is derived from the symbol for silver as a chemical element, Ag (in Latin, argentum). To draw attention to this, we capitalize both the A and G in the name A-Gallery.

Our story

The creation of A-Gallery in 1994 was a bold and entrepreneurial step, led by jewelry artists, most of whom still run the gallery today.

A-Gallery

The gallery’s founding meeting took place at the end of 1993 and there were 32 founding members. Later, 48 artists acquired shares and the money collected was used to start the creation of the gallery. On May 10, 1994, A-Gallery opened its doors in the premises of the Estonian Artists’ Union’s Hobusepea Street building, where the HOP Gallery is currently located. In 2005, it moved to a more spacious space on the corner of Hobusepea and Pikk Street, where the gallery is still located today. A-Gallery operates in a building that is important to the field, the fascinating history of which dates back over 100 years.
