The exhibition is dedicated to my grandfather Herman who was a jeweller and a watchmaker in the pre-WWII Tallinn. There is the Cinematographers’ Society building in the place where his shop used to be, so it is impossible to determine its location more precisely.
Although I never had the chance to meet my grandfather, his unfinished works and experiments have followed me for my whole life. I wanted to finish some of them and give them a form according to my own vision. I hope that Grandpa wouldn’t have minded.
The objects became anonymous shadowy forms for unknown people for whom Grandpa had been making monograms.
