Tarvo Porroson (b. 1989) graduated from Vana-Vigala Technical and Service School with a specialization in blacksmithing in 2009, after which he continued his studies in the Department of Jewellery and Blacksmithing at the Estonian Academy of Arts. In 2026, he received his bachelor’s degree from the Estonian Academy of Arts.
In his personal practice, Porroson places a strong emphasis on reuse and repurposing. He has worked primarily as a freelancer both in Estonia and abroad, creating jewellery, forged metalwork, sculptures, designer furniture, and mechanical constructions.
Porroson was awarded second place in the “Male Thing” design competition organised by the Estonian Association of Designers (2013) and participated in the third reuse-themed group exhibition “Give A New Life” at the Museum of New Art in Pärnu (2015).
